Hi MeganS1
Interesting and strange - I suspect this might be because the invoice has never been printed. See bottom left corner of screen for print status. If this shows To Be Printed, MYOB needs to change this to Already Printed. And it seems it cannot do this due to the Locked period. So even though you are not editing the invoice, the process of printing requires it to be edited. In this instance you may need to temporarily disable the Lock, print and re-enable.

Gavin
Since the update we have not been able to print invoices in a locked period either. The invoices we are trying to print have been printed in the past and the Invoice Delivery Status states already printed or sent. We do no want to unlock and lock a period just to print an old invoice. Our business is one where we are often re-printing older invoices, not for payment, but for the details of the old purchase.
MYOB can you please fix this asap as it was working fine until the last update.

We are having the same issue since we upgraded out files to the 2024.6 update. Spoke to MYOB support and was told that it is a feature of the new update but I can't find it in the update notes.
This issue is very inconvenient....we frequently re-send invoices for customers who request them, or to chase up payment. Unlocking and re-locking the records every time an invoice needs to be re-sent or re-printed is very time consuming & not all users have access to the unlock feature. Needs to be fixed ASAP.

I'm having the same issue since the last update. I need to print an old invoice for a rebate claim. I don't have administrator access to be able to unlock the period and shouldn't have to ask my boss to print an invoice.
Change it back MYOB, who asked for this in the first place?

I have spoken to a specialist who has looked into this issue - I also note MYOB at least sound like they are finally looking into it. Apparently it was not a deliberate change but rather a bug. Due to a backend change AR2024.6 thinks the sales invoice have changed even though it hasn't. Same issue affects invoices created after the Lock Period, though MYOB saves these without complaining. For those who can't wait for MYOB to release a patch, get in touch with MYOX Services who should be able to provide an interim solution.
Best workaround - use this method to print invoices - you may have to change Advanced Filters.

Thanks for that Gavin. Hopefully it won't take long until the next update and it is sorted.
