The error, "Invalid format of the Payments file," generally refers to the ABA file format, which doesn't match your bank requirements. You can check with the bank whether you're required to enter the Direct Entry User ID or use a Self-Balancing format, as inclusion or exclusion of one of these would cause upload errors.
