Access to Employee's contact log

Can the contact log be filtered so not all users can have access to all logs entered re employees. They dont have access to employees in Cards List, or payroll but they can bring up an employees contact log, is there away of stopping this from happening.

Regards

Michelle

    Hi, Allways

    Thanks for your post.

If you only want specific users to not have access to an employee's contact logs, you can duplicate the roles and then customise them. To do this, go to Setup > User Access > Manage Roles > Select the role of the existing user, and then click Cards. If you can see that the Contact Log is ticked, kindly untick it and then hit Save. Please refer to the screenshot below.

        Hi, Allways

Thanks for getting back to us.

Yes, it will stop other users from seeing all the card's contact logs. At this point, we highly suggest creating a duplicate of the user access under the Manage Roles tab. Duplicating user access will allow you to customise the access and even assign it to a specific user so that other users will not be affected. To do this, kindly go to Setup > User Access > Manage Roles tab > Right-click the role that you want to duplicate and then it will ask you to change the name of the new role > From there, you will be able to customise the limit of that role and you can untick the Contact Log to remove a user from accessing it. Once done, click on Save and then go to the Manage Users tab to assign the specific user the duplicated role you just created.

Please let us know how it goes. We are delighted to assist you.

        Best regards,

        Doreen
