Discrepancy between payroll activity summary and GL account

Hi,
There is a discrepancy between payroll activity summary and wages and salaries general ledger. Net activity in GL and total wages in payroll activity summary has an discrepancy. Can I know why there is an discrepancy ? How do I reconcile both reports ?

    Hi Hiruni,

     

    You might need to compare the reports to see what exactly is causing the discrepancy. A possible reason may be a pay category could be set as 'Override Employee's Wage Expense Account,' which prevents it from being matched to the right bank account, leading to differences in the reports.
