Hi BarryM1,
Thanks for the detailed explanation. Appreciate you walking us through what's been happening with your payroll. For the STP reporting to the ATO, there actually shouldn't be a limit on the number of employees when you're using MYOB AccountRight. So you shouldn't need to split the pay run just to get it reported. Since it only seems to work when you drop the employees to around 35, that's a bit unusual and likely something our team will need to take a closer look at in the file to see what's causing it. The best way to get this sorted is to jump onto our live chat support through our virtual assistant, MOCA, or submit a case via My Account, where the team can check the STP reporting with you in real time.
For the base salary line appearing for casual employees, that usually comes from the Wages section in the employee card. If Base Salary is ticked there, it'll automatically show in the pay run. Which is why you might see that small cents amount appear. You can remove it by going to employee card > Payroll Details > Wages then untick the Base Salary so only the relevant casual wage category is selected. Once that's unticked, it shouldn't appear in future pays for that employee. For the few cents that may have already been processed, you can simply adjust it in the next pay run to balance it out.
Regards,
Sai
