Hi rachelpd
Maybe try to edit the text file in Excel by "Sorting" by the inactive employees (I think the header is Card Status = Y) and then delete the rows that are inactive before you try to import the card file. I find testing this process on an offline file is the best way to see if it works, before trying on a live file.
Cheers

Thanks for the Card Status tip; oddly the Card Status = Y is for INACTIVE.
But you cannot exclude these employees, which for a company like us that has been using MYOB for many, many years has more inactive by far than active.
Although it isn't difficult to sort by N and Y and then delete, it seems this should be more efficient from MYOB somehow? Still, and again, thanks for letting me know the field I needed to focus on.
