Offline File 2026.4.1

Is anyone else in a similar position?

I am currently using the offline version (2026.4.1) and have disabled automatic updates. I report payroll to the ATO via Namich and plan to use it for superannuation reporting as well.

I'm feeling quite uncertain about whether I should move to the online version. After reading numerous discussions and feedback from users who seem dissatisfied with the online platform, I'm hesitant to make the switch.

Is anyone choosing to remain on the offline version and continue operating as normal? If so, I'd be interested to hear your experience and reasoning.

I chose to remain Offline, I purchased MYOB (Mind Your Own Business) for that very reason.

However Today 17th. June I prompted to go Online as my offline feature will not work after 3 Days.

I'm wondering if I remove MYOB from my computer and install an earlier version and select to no confirm my company file ONLINE if it will work

    Hi macfesto,

Sorry for the late reply. You won’t need to do a separate purchase for the tax tables. AccountRight Server Edition 2026.5 already includes the latest tax tables, but future updates after that will only continue through PC Edition. I’d recommend having a read through this discussion we’ve put together around these changes.

    Cheers,

    Princess

    Hi Princess_R  (and Mike_MYOB)

While Server Edition 2026.5 'already includes the latest tax tables', you didn't mention if a current subscription is required in order to use those tax tables. This is how it worked in the past.

Moderators are advising 2065.5 SE can be used by all who want to stay offline. I understand ongoing confirmation requires either a perpetual licence or a current subscription, and this has been made reasonably clear by moderators. However when it comes to tax tables, moderators state the 1 July 2026 tax table will be included in 2026.5 SE, no mention of any 'conditions' - please advise.

    Regards

    Gavin

    Hi gavin12345 ,

    ***Edit 24/06
Sorry Gavin (and all reading). I provided the incorrect information yesteday.

Tax tables will still be available based on the existing/previous logic of requiring a subscription.

The tax tables are not linked to the installation type Eg Server edition vs PC Edition,
But instead it is linked to:

    • Is the file online? Y = gets new tax tables
    • Is the file offline? Y
      • Perpetual licence only - no new tax tables
      • Perpetual licence & subscription - gets new tax tables

It's worth noting that tax tables are directly tied to payroll, and payroll is also only available with a subscription due to STP. Therefore offline customers should not require access to current tax tables.
