Pay Super Money Withdrawn Early

Hello

I processed my first Pay Super on Monday, I did the first PayDay Super as well as processed my final quarterly SG payment. For my final Quarterly SG payment that I would normally have done in SBSCH, I created the payment with a payment date for the 28/07/2026, as per the ATO allowance, and authorised the entry. Both payments came out on the same date, the date I processed them, not the date set for payment. Now other than being very low on funds in the bank now, MYOB will now not let me change the payment date for the Quarterly SG payment to the date that MYOB actually withdrew the funds rather than the date that I processed payment to be made.

Help. Can I receive a refund of the monies and for them to be paid when I set it to be paid? How can I now change the date of payment?

    Hi rallytone,

Thanks for explaining what happened. I can see why you’d want those funds returned, but we’re not able to pull the money back on your behalf.

Once a super payment is recorded, the date you enter is the journal date for your file, not the date the funds will actually be taken from your bank account. The payment is processed on the day it’s authorised. Once a super payment has been processed, the payment date can’t be changed. Also, super payment can only be reversed if it’s sitting in a status like Payment Failed or Reversal Required.

    Cheers,

    Princess

It is a pity that when you create a Super payment, that the field is titled "Payment Date", when that is not what it is....

    Hi rallytone,

Fair call. Having the payment date actually reflect when the super payment is debited and processed is really important.

This has already been raised by other members in the Community Forum too, and it’s been added to our Ideas Board. At the moment, it’s waiting on more votes, as that helps our product team see how many people want the change and consider it for future updates. If you haven’t already, it could be worth adding your vote there too, as every bit of feedback helps give it more visibility.

    Cheers,

    Princess

Hi Princess, it is important that it reflects the actual payment date, although after the 28th July it possibly won't apply anymore as everyone will be on Payday Super.
