Thanks for checking in. In payroll timesheets, the job and customer fields are treated separately, so adding a job number won’t automatically fill in the customer name. If your file is set to Time Billing and Payroll, the customer field is required. That means if a customer isn’t selected before finishing the timesheet, it may not save properly.
At the moment, there isn’t an option to have the customer auto-fill from the job number. If you’d like to see that added, we’d really encourage you to share it on our Ideas Board.
