How many of a business's employees can be set up as lodging authorities for STP?
Once you add the main user and register for STP, it doesn't seem to allow you to add the contact details for a second employee to lodge as a backup?
I can add myself as a BAS Agent, but need to be able to add additional employees of the client's business as contacts as well. Can this be done?

You can add employees as additional declarers for STP reporting if they are setup as a User.
