Using MYOB Accountright Overseas

You should be able to process payroll while overseas, provided each client’s AccountRight file is online and you have the required access.

 

Because the file is stored online, you can work in the latest AccountRight desktop software or open it in a browser from anywhere with a reliable internet connection. Before you leave, I’d recommend:

• Open each client file and test your login.
• Confirm you have access to every file and the required payroll permissions.
• Check that you can receive your MYOB two-factor authentication codes while overseas.
• If you’re using AccountRight desktop, make sure it’s updated to the latest version. You can also test browser access at app.myob.com.
• Check upcoming pay dates, Australian public holidays and client payroll deadlines.
• Confirm any bank payment, STP or Pay Super authorisations you’ll need.

Allow for the time difference between Europe and Australia when entering pay dates, submitting payroll and arranging payments. A reliable private connection or mobile hotspot is also a good idea when working away from home.
