Forum Discussion
Hi jimlivfab,
I can understand why this is worrying, especially since the Year-to-date Verification report matched your payroll reports on 2 July. The report shows the latest Single Touch Payroll year-to-date figures, so the amounts can change if an STP Update Event, correction, reversal, nil pay, or payroll-history adjustment was processed after that date.
MYOB updates by themselves wouldn’t normally change YTD data that were lodged correctly. It’s more likely that the difference is linked to a later STP submission or a change to the payroll or employee pay-history data. Before making any further changes, please:
- Run the Payroll Activity, Payroll Register, and Year-to-date Verification reports for the same 2025/26 period
- Compare the figures employee by employee, especially for anyone who hasn’t lodged their tax return yet
- Check the affected employees’ pay history if the Payroll Register doesn’t match the Payroll Activity report.
If the Payroll Activity and Payroll Register match but the Year-to-date Verification report is still different, our team will need to take a closer look at the STP data. It’s best to have this checked with our team before making any further changes. You can reach them through live chat with our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by using one of the other support options available on our website.
Cheers,
Princess
