Quote me on this: a forum housekeeping update

Thanks so much for all the feedback on the "Vote for Quotes" discussion. I'm seeing two different conversations happening at the same time: requests for the actual quotes feature, and concerns about misleading information online about Solo's current capabilities.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's having trouble keeping track of who's talking about what!

Both conversations are important, we need your help with both, and we want to get to the bottom of this. So I'm moving some of your posts into this thread so we can continue the conversation about your capability concerns here.

What's happening and where to talk about it:

Quotes feature feedback and ideas stay in "Vote for Quotes": The main "Vote for Quotes" thread stays open, but please focus on giving our team information on how you would use quotes in your business – and don't forget to vote so you can follow progress as we start to work on this. This feedback guides our work and helps us make sure our internal teams understand how important this is to you.

PS: Keep an eye out for a post from Sue, our Head of Product, who's been reading along.

Issues with inaccurate search results or factual issues in our ads or help content: We are not alone in seeing really concerning issues with what looks like search engines sharing AI generated search results, like the ones JKelly  have shared in the thread.

Please keep flagging these with us here in this thread so we can figure out what's going on and hopefully get the AI's to behave. To be clear though, we don't own any Fortune 500 search engine companies, so it may take some time to sort out these results – the more information you can share, the faster we can do that.

Concerns about our business model and if you feel like you have been misled: We take these concerns very seriously and we have a specific team set up to address and review these.

This is not the place for that conversation – you need to email feedback@myob.com and let them know as much detail as possible about what happened, how that's impacted you, and what you'd like us to do about it.

The team and I work very closely with our feedback team, and I've seen how seriously they take these concerns. If we have made a mistake somewhere, we take that very seriously as well and make sure we make it right for everyone involved. That's just not the kind of help we can offer here.

We're all in this together

We've had this community for about 17 years now, even if the Solo part is new. We aim to make this a safe space for everyone to contribute and have a voice that we can advocate for across the company.

We get the frustration when things aren't where you want them to be, and we wish we could move faster too. Sometimes the code behind features is more complicated than expected, and we have to be careful to keep your data secure and tax-compliant.

When we're behind on something you need, venting and repeating the same concerns doesn't actually speed things up. Instead, we spend our time managing that instead of advocating for you internally and making sure the right teams understand what you need and why it matters.

If you've shared your concerns and are:
- Struggling to step back so we can get to work

– Continuing to post similar things

- Moving away from facts toward interpretations

We'll remove posts and may restrict community access if it continues. If you're not sure what is and isn't okay to say here, then check out our  Community Forum Guidelines | MYOB Community and our post about what is and isn't okay to say when you're sharing feedback with us: Community Guidelines Update: Making Your Feedback Count | MYOB Community

Thank you for your ongoing feedback. We're going to get stuck into getting the team across what you've shared so far keep the datapoints and ideas coming!

Finally, don't forget that you can always reach out via More > Digital assistant in the Solo app.
