Solved

Error 52 1000052 bad file name or number.

I keep getting this error message when running BASlink.

I am using AccountRight Plus.

I would prefer to have a response from someone who can resolve this issue very quickly so I don't have to do the setup each time.

Many thanks

  • Thank you for your response.

I had a very good support call and the issue was resolved.

The problem lay in the fact that my BAS files and backups were sitting on a OneDrive folder.

    All good now :)

    Hi AndreaKT

This error message generally indicates that the system is unable to read a file correctly, or the BASlink folder in your computer does not have the setup files require for running BAS.

I'd suggest checking to make sure that you do have full control over the BASlink folders:

    AccountRight 20xx: C:\Users\--username--\Documents\MYOB\AccountRight\BASLink
AccountRight Classic: C:\PremierClassic\BASlink (if you using Premier)

If you do have full control of them, please rename the folder, uninstall and reinstall AccountRight then try again.
