Hesta Super Error

New employee set up on Employee self-onboard. Super fund used Hesta.

When searching on how to fix this problem (this fund can no longer accept super payments), the error has been around since 2022.

The super fund is already set up by MYOB so should this issue be resolved by now.

Using previous response to this issue is it correct that I need to

1. Rename the existing Hesta fund for example Hesta Super*

2. Create a new Hesta Super using the same details

3. Link employees to new fund

Will the new fund be corrected when I go back to pay superannation?

Thanks Alice

  • Hi pinnair,

Thanks for your post and for providing the error message.

My apologies for the late response. The error can occur when the super fund has had some changes, e.g., merged or renamed. I'd suggest using this current Super Fund list to verify the fund details; it's best to look up the fund based on its SPIN or USI instead of the fund name. You may refer to the updated Super Fund details below:

To answer your question, it is correct that you need to follow the following steps below to fix the issue:

    1. Rename the existing Hesta fund (for example, to Hesta Super*).
    2. Create a new Hesta Super using the same details.
    3. Link employees to the new fund.

After these steps, when you go back to pay superannuation, the new fund should be updated correctly, and you should be able to proceed with super payments without getting this error message.

If the issue persists after following those steps above, please let us know so we can investigate further.
