STP Phase 2 - Prior Pay runs processed incorrectly.

Hello,

 

If Pay runs are processed under STP phase 1 after the due date for reporting under STP Phase 1 should the pay runs processed incorrectly be redone? If so, what is the best way to do this?

    Hi Gareth_S 

     

    Thanks for your post. STP reports payments to the ATO according to the ATO reporting categories assigned to payroll categories. Once you move to STP Phase 2, the Phase 1 ATO reporting categories are not used and the full Year-to-date amounts are reported using the Phase 2 ATO reporting categories. This means that all pays for the year will be reported under Phase 2. 

     

    The final step in transitioning to Phase 2 is sending an update event. This sends the YTD amounts, so all previous pay runs, to the ATO using the Phase 2 reporting categories.
