Unable to verify AccountRight file v2015.4.1

Hi team,

 

I am having trouble with a verifying an AccountRight file online, as I have always done with no trouble at all in the the twenty or so years I've been using MYOB products.

 

The first symptom of something going wrong was my AR icon had vanished from my task bar. After re-establishing the icon and starting up, I got the "Unable to automatically confirm your company file" message.

 

Remedies attempted so far include:

- trying to open any other archive files (all fail)

- turning off internet protection software (fail)

- resetting modem & router (fail)

 

I update my files everytime MYOB prompts me to do so, so my files are up-to-date.

 

Desparate, as I cannot complete my GST, and will get fined for late return.

 

Any help appreciated.

AccountRight v2015.4.1

  • A follow up - the problem escalated, but working with the phoneline help, we established that my icon was not pointing to the latest version of AR. Once this was fixed we were able to make progress.

     

    I got phoneline verification, which will enable me to finish my GST ontime :-)

     

    I'm not sure if this will solve the automatic verification problem, but I will check this once I've completed my GST.

    Online Confirmation for local files can be impacted by settings on your computer. If you are on an older Operating System and/or running an older version then we do recommend reviewing the settings on your computer - the TLS settings. Check out the What happens when confirmation isn't working? section of Activation and Confirmation of company files guide for information on that process.

    Should you still be unable to confirm then do send me a private message on this Forum with the following information:

    • The serial number of the product -  Setup>>Company Information
    • The company file ID - Help>>About AccountRight
    • The version of the software you are on - Help>>About AccountRight
    • If you are on AccountRight Classic (v19 or below) - the Company file code
