I have an old version of Myob 12? that has .dat files how can I import them into a new .myo file?

Assuming you do mean to convert to a Classic *.myo version and not the newer *.myox versions then I have found that you can actually upgrade a v12 *.dat file to a later version *.myo by using the later version to OPEN the file and you will be prompted to upgrade it. When you use Open, change the file type at the bottom right of the dialogue box from AccountRight Data (*.MYO) to All Files (*.*) so that you can see the *.dat file you need to upgrade. You will still need a Serial Number to confirm the file as the pre-v14 files used a different method i.e. a Registration Number that didn't require ongoing Confirmation.
