Annual Leave and Personal Leave Entitlements not accruing

Hi All,

 

I have recently added a new employee using an existing employee as a template and finding that the Annual and Personal leave entitlements are not accruing, even though all the settings appear to be identical. I've read through multiple posting on this forum where similar issues have arisen and still can't find a solution to my issue. I need help trying to figure out why the new employee is not accruing leave entitlements.

    Thanks for reaching out. I get that you're having some issues with leave entitlements not accruing for a new employee. This can indeed be a bit puzzling. The problem might be related to the leave pay items or the calculation basis for the leave accrual. It's worth checking these settings and ensuring they match the template employee's settings. If an employee is on an hourly basis, the calculation basis for the leave should be equal to [x] percent. On the other hand, if an employee is on a salary basis, the calculation basis is equal to [x] hours per hour. Then ensure that the leave pay items are correctly assigned to the employee.       Many thanks for your reply.  I've seen the same reply several times on the forum for this particular issue, and have tried to find these settings.  I called your support team this morning and they believe the problem is because I'm using the "Off-line" version of AccountRight on my laptop, which does not show the "Entitlements" tab in the Payroll menu. They further advised that I need to request our Administrator to add me as a "File User" to the "On-line" version of AccountRight. Accordingly, I have reached out to our Administrator for assistance.

        Hi Trobinson,

        You are indeed correct. The problem might be because you're accessing the file offline. If you're still having this issue after reaching out to the Admin or owner of the file, you can also try our virtual assistant, MOCA, which is designed to dive deeper into issues like this.
