How to Undo a Manual Adjustment to Payroll

We have changed MYOB files during the year.  We processed payroll in the first MYOB file from July to Dec 24 and reported thru STP but was not finalised.  We started a new MYOB file from Jan 25 and entered a manual adjustment into payroll for the prior 6 months of payroll.  This has resulted in the payroll previously thru STP being recorded twice and overreported to the ATO by that amount.  The Payroll Activity and Register are out by this amount.  I see that there is advice that you can undo these changes in the Current Year, however, the figures under Pay History only show the payroll since July 25 and using the Undo Manual Changes button doesn't resolve this.   The current financial year in the system is 24/25, it hasn't been changed at this stage.  We don't have access to the old MYOB files to reverse the payroll there.  Can anyone advise on how to correct it to remove the manual adjustments?

    Hi Martirld,

It's always important to finalise the old payroll before moving balances to the new file. Since the manual adjustment was finalised and we’re now in a new financial year, it’s not something you can undo manually anymore. This sort of thing needs a closer look, so the best way forward is to reach out to our live chat team through our virtual assistant MOCA or pop through a support ticket in MyAccount. Just make sure you’ve got screenshots of your payroll reports handy, especially the bits that show the payroll’s been over reported to the ATO. That’ll help our team get it sorted for you.
