Leave report

Hi All,

 

Our Payroll system has recently been upgraded from MYOB Essentials to MYOB Payroll. I have completed the pay run and would like to print a summary report showing the employee annual leave balances. Any suggestions on how to do this please ?

    Hi Cel,

     

    Thanks for your reply. I did look at the report you mention but if the employee has not taken leave in the date range then no available balance is shown. Essentials enabled me to print a 1 page report which showed each Employee's name and their available balance. This is what I am looking for.

    Hi Cel,

     

    The leave report we require is not available since the upgrade. Are you able to provide a time frame for when this be addressed ? We will definitly be needing it to calculate the leave liability at the end of the financial year in December.  The report was part of the Essentials package. I am happy to create a new post but I don't see how this is going to be of any assistance.

    Is MYOB doing anything about the problems with the upgrade? There are so many unhappy payroll users out there now. Please advise a timeline we can expect these issues being addressed - unfortunately we will also be looking at an alternative provider if nothing fixed soon.

    I can create another new post if needed but I would have thought MYOB would prefer to just sort the existing issues first?

    Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community Forum. 

     

    Regarding your concern, you can access the summary report showing your employee annual leave balances by going to Reporting >> Reports >> Payroll >> Leave transaction. This report runs a balance of leave taken and earned for each employee over the date range.

    I agree - no reporting on leave balances which we use every payday showing annual & sick leave balances. This should be available as it was in Essentials

    When processing pay runs it is standard practice to print out the annual leave and sick leave balances on payday. No idea how to work around this in the upgraded software.

    Hi Rosemary_23 and  Brien,

     

    Thank you for the update. You can only have the balance of leave taken and earned for each employee when you run a Leave transaction report and it will not show details if the employee did not take the leave within that date range. You can also try to run a Pay run summary report which displays the payroll information from previous pay runs for selected employees. If these reports do not show what you need, I encourage you to please take a moment to post them on the MYOB Essentials board for consideration. Apologies for this inconvenience.

    We are sorry to hear that the report that you need is not currently available for our product. You can run a balance of leave taken and earned for each employee over the date range under Leave Transaction. Our apologies as it is not possible for us to provide a period for when this feature will be available. Rest assured that once this feature becomes available, we will post an update on this channel.
