Pay runs not included in STP reports

There are two pay runs recorded but cannot be seen  in stp reports, how to fix this issue

  • Hi Amanda,

Sent an update event but it didn't make any difference in the stp reports

    Hey Navee

I'd recommend sending an update event first. This will sync your payroll totals in MYOB with the figures held by the ATO.

You'll be able to do this by selecting Payroll > Single Touch Payroll reporting > STP reports tab > select the relevant financial year > Send update event. Detailed instructions can be found on this page here.

    Cheers, Amanda.

      Hi Amanda

Is it possible to select new pay run STP as a default instead of update event. It just seems wrong to default to update when these go through as nil when every week we just want to send the actual wages report through to the ATO as new payrun.

        Hi SWELL,

Currently, it is not possible to set the "new pay run" as the default option instead of the "update event" in STP (Single reporting. The system defaults to the update event, which sends the Year-to-Date (YTD) amounts to the ATO and shows as $0 for the pay period amounts.  If you have already processed a pay run as an update event and need to correct it, you can reverse and reprocess the pay run, making sure to select the "new pay run" option during the reprocessing. This will ensure that the correct figures are reported to the ATO.

        Regards,
        Earl
