UPDATED A PAY FOR ONE EMPLOYEE

I have reversed a pay for one employee and processed it again correctly.  What had to be fixed was the tax amount should have been nil instead of $17.00.  NOTE: The employee was paid the correct amount.

When going to lodge the BAS, the PAYG Witholdings total is showing the amount which includes the $17.00 in the ATO portal.

By reversing the pay run, should the totals have automatically updated with the ATO?

How is this rectified?

    Hi JO1000,

Thank you for your comprehensive post, and I apologize for the delayed response.

If you've already processed and reported the reverse pay run through the STP reporting center, and the ATO has accepted it, the ATO will be automatically notified of these changes, and your information will be updated accordingly. For more details, please refer to this help article on reverse pay: Changing a recorded pay

Feel free to post again, we're happy to help.
    Regards,
    Earl
