Duplicate sales invoices and numbers

Just noticed I had two invoices duplicated - this has never happened before.  Then when I go to create an invoice, it gives a used number for the invoice and shows a warning. I go to manually change it and it still shows a warning. How do I fix this glitch?

    Hi megTB,

     

    Looks like there's a little hiccup with duplicate invoices and numbers. Sometimes this happens if there's a glitch in the system or if entries accidentally get duplicated. One easy way to fix it is to manually change the invoice number. If you get a warning when trying to change the number, try clearing your browser's history and cache. This can often fix website issues and make things run smoother. You could also try logging in from a different browser or device. If you still can't change the numbers, could you send us a screenshot of the warning message?
