Kindly go again to Sales Settings >> Templates >> Click on the template that you created. Make sure that the Set as default template is ticked for the new template you created. I would also suggest logging out and clearing your browser cache before sending the next invoice. You can also test it out first by sending a sample invoice to your email. Let me know how it goes.
