Hi Everyone,
I am having the same problem but have found that if I click directly over the pdf image (Highlighted in green) rather than elsewhere on the attachment bar (highlighted in Yellow) I can drag and drop some but not all attachments to the upload docs rectangle.
however some documents still give the error message below even though they are a PDF file.
You can't attach a file of this format. Please use PDF, JPG, TIFF or PNG files.

Hi Zoanne,
If your company file is online, you can store your invoices securely in AccountRight's in tray. For more guidance, you may refer to this link on how to upload documents in in-tray. Additionally, you can try saving the PDFs from your outlook to your computer first and then uploading them manually to the MYOB inbox if you’re working with offline file.
Cheers,
Shella

Hello Thanks for the reply. Im trying to drag and drop a invoice(pdf) into the in tray and it wont let me. I have a new computer with the new version of outlook (released feb 2025) and it doesn't allow it. My older computer with the old version of outlook on it still works.

Hi Zoanne,
If you're experiencing difficulties dragging and dropping an invoice (PDF) into the In Tray, try saving the document to your desktop first and then uploading it from there. Additionally, you might want to consider reinstalling both AccountRight and Outlook to see if that resolves the issue. It's also a good idea to ensure that all your Windows updates are installed, including updates for the .NET Framework.
I hope this helps!

Hi KAT71,
Nice work for finding that workaround with clicking directly on the PDF image, that’s a clever way to get some of the attachments uploaded! You can only upload documents up to 10MB in size and they need to be in these formats: .PDF, .JPG, .JPEG, .TIFF, .TIF, or .PNG. If your documents don’t fit these specs, you’d need to tweak them before uploading.

Here is a work around can do until this all gets fixed
You won't need to save file to computer first
-Click on Attachments
-Click on Add Documents
-Bill Attachments opens (where you would normally find the file)
-Go to your email and drag and drop the file into here, then click "Open" - the file you just dropped will already be highlighted so you don't even need to select it
-The attachment is uploaded without you having to save it first
-Every now and then just delete the files that are saved in the folder you are dropping onto. I just created one called AR Uploads so it is easy to delete all in the folder at once.

Hi BJ3,
Thanks heaps for taking the time to share such a detailed workaround. Drag-and-drop hiccups in the In Tray can definitely be a pain, so this is gold for anyone running into the same issue with invoice PDFs. Really appreciate you jumping in and helping out the community. I'm sure this will save a few legends some head-scratching.
Regards,
Sai
