Entitlement opening balance doesn't match previous month ending balance

Hi There,

 

We've paid out unused AL leave for a staff in a few payrolls across July to Aug, and YTD AL balance is 0 which is correct, however we just noticed the Aug entitlement report figures are incorrect. Opening balance doesn't match July ending balance, and ending balance is not 0. We don't have such issue for all the other current/resigned staff. 

 

Would you mind helping us to have a check to see what is happening here, and if there is a way to fix this? I've attached the balance details for this staff (July, Aug and YTD hours) for your reference.

    For the staff #119, is the Entitlement Summary report showing the correct balances when the report is run for both July and August separately?

    Hi Komal,

     

    Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, the Entitlement Summary Report balance shows the same as Detail report (included in the file I uploaded). July balance is correct (opening 115.92, ending 55.92), but August is wrong (opening 115.92, ending 60) which should be opening 55.92 and ending 0. Not sure what is happening here ~

    Thanks for clarifying, this can happen if the report is being run for a period after leave has been taken but no additional leave has been accrued on that leave category. 

     

    If either the Entitlement Summary or Entitlement Detail report is run with a start date before the leave is taken then the report will show correctly. This is something that our teams are aware of and are working on fixing permanently in the coming releases.
