MYOB Crashing when attempting to open employee card

Question

Hi,&nbsp;We've been having issues when attempting to open an employee card - our AccountRight is crashing.&nbsp; The error started when I added a payroll category to the employee's pay during processing instead of prior to processing.&nbsp; I understand a script needs to be run to correct the error.&nbsp;Our file is currently offline but we are looking at moving online in the next month.&nbsp; Is this something that can be fixed offline, and does it need to be fixed prior to moving our file online?&nbsp;I have attached a text document of the error report.&nbsp;Thanks

Thanks for your post. Scripts can indeed only be ran on online files. This error is caused by duplicate values in the database.&nbsp;If your file is local, you can run&nbsp;the hotfix tool on your computer:

AccountRight 2020.2 and later
&nbsp;
To use the hotfix tool
&nbsp;

Extract the two files in the zipped folder through right clicking on the zip file and choose Extract all
Right click AccountRight_Hotfix.exe and choose Run as Administrator
Click Browse
Locate the company file and click ok
Click that you have a backup of this file
Click Apply
Once the hotfix has applied click Finish

If your are using the Silent Installer: you&nbsp;will need to install Microsoft SQL Server Compact in order to run the hotfix tool. If SQL server is not installed on the computer, then you will receive an Unhandled exception error when running the hotfix tool:
