In January a pay was processed by my boss while she was overseas. This pay was not sent to STP when it was processed. Hence January's payroll reporting is out by the amount of this pay as it is missing from the STP report. We can't reverse this pay as then it will be sent to STP and we will still be out. Can anyone advise what we should do?

If the payroll report is out by the amount of the unsent payroll to STP, please check the Payroll Activity, Payroll Register and YTD verification report. If the figures are still incorrect, or the amount is less than expected, check the STP reporting to see if the pay run status is 'Not Sent'. You may also send an update event to make sure ATO receives the most up-to-date figures for your employees. thank you for your message. This however does not solve the problem. I have added documents to show what is going on. Highlighted in green. There is no 'not sent' on the STP report. It is zero and no amount is there like it should be , hence why we are out. I have carried out an update event and nothing changed. The STP report is still out. Our accountant is giving us a hard time as she wants this fixed for PAYG reporting to the ATO. Is our only option to carry out an adjustment at the end of the financial year? And does this need to be carried out by the accountant? I appreciate your help in this matter.

Thanks for updating us.
As per checking the screenshots sent, the pay period highlighted in green is for one day only, 07/01/2024-07/01/2024 and this only happens when an update event has been sent. Also, while checking your payroll reports, the figures match. With this, we recommend checking the pay slips to see if there's any recorded pay for that pay period. thank you again for your reply. I am waiting to hear from the accountant. The STP report does not match the wages for January. I am not in the office again until Monday so once I have the report from her I will message you again.
