EOFY Reconciliation - AccountRight

Like may other companies we have major issues with the reconciling of the MYOB figures to the ATO reports.  We cannot find where or how the Allowances - Other have been broken up.  After many days at this we are still not able to reconcile to these figures.

Does anyone have the knowledge to explain how our allowances are condensed into the catagories - Bonuses dont even show up on the Payment Summaries.

Allowances
Allowance - Meals
Allowance - Car
Allowance - Transport
Alowance - Travel
Allowance - Laundry
Allowance - Other (T/C STS Allowance)
Allowance - Other (T/C Utility Allowance)
Allowance - Other (WHS Phones)
Allowance - Other (T/C Travel Allowance - STS)
Allowance - Other (Weekend Phones)
Allowance - Other (WHS Salary Phones)
Allowance - Other (T/C TMA Allowance)
Bonus & Commission

As we are all approaching the 21/07/22 Payroll Tax Declaration we do not know which figures to report the MYOB or the figures that are on the ATO Report?

  • Hi AATM

Sorry to see that no one has replied to you yet. The Summary of payments reports are sent to the ATO when you finalise so you need to make sure these have the correct values.

The YTD verification report and Summary of payments reports filter the YTD amounts according to the ATO reporting categories assigned to the payroll categories. If the ATO reporting category is Allowance - other, the payment amount will be reported as Allowance - other in those reports.

For the bonus payments, check the ATO reporting category assigned to the payroll category. If you've moved to Phase 2 these payments would generally be assigned the Bonus and Commissions ATO reporting category. If you're still in Phase 1 they will be reported according to the Phase 1 ATO reporting category.

Please let me know if you need further help.
