Accountright Verification

I am very confused by all I have read on this and have been a user for a very long time.

Please bear with me as I have apparently have 15 days to Verify.

 

  1. I do not use MYOB online. I use the desktop version and have four registered users. Does this verification apply if you do not use the Online Web version? Or am I getting the terminology confused here.
  2. I have two companies covered by my subscription one Australian and one in the Solomon Islands. How do I verify two? Or do I only verify the Australian Company. Getting info from Sol Island will be very time consuming. 
  3. When I went in to verify I was asked to select a business name to attach to the ABN - I have numerous. We issue different invoices for our different entities - businesses we bought and still trade under those names. How am I supposed to cover that.
  4. Verifying will be very complex and you seem to want to put us in this one box. A company may have numerous businesses trading under it providing very different things within different industries. How do you enter thta information. Simple example would be a husband and wife owning a company thta provies hair dressing srevices and plumbing services with separate trading names but under one company>

  6. So if I do not verify - because at this point I do not know how. I lose the ability to sent invoices directly from MYOB using the contact details we have from decades of use and print a PDF and send one by one with no email database access? We issue many small value invoices to the likes of solicitors , real estate agents, commercial entities and government bodies in a day.
  7. We do not use online payments or bank feeds at this point for a number of reasons.
  8. Does this impact sending statements?

 

This is such an over reach for small businesses perhaps the worst yet.

It is also obvious that you are using some source for data checking which is not lining up somehow. Hence you cannot verify anyway.

It is also clear that you want to pigeon hole entities and clearly have no idea about the myriads of structures of businesses.

 

Please advise how to get an extension until you can answer my questions and/or get someone to download my Card data bases and work out some software to manually send invoices.

    Hi RJTROTTER,

     

    Totally get that it’s a lot to take in, especially if you’ve been with MYOB for ages. The 15-day verification thing is pretty standard across the board now, just for security. Here's the answer for your queries:
     

    • Verification's standard now, whether you're online or sticking to desktop. If you're not cloud-based, you might just need to flick your docs over to support.
    • Got different companies, like Aussie and overseas? You'll have to verify each one. Grab your ABN and business papers for local, and similar docs for overseas. Might take a tad longer for the overseas stuff.
    • Multiple ABNs on one account? Support might need to check each business is legit and separate. Have your proof handy, especially if they're all run a bit different.
    • Picking your main industry type for MYOB? If you wear a few hats, just choose the main one for stats and tax. If you’re not sure, give support a buzz so it all lines up with your reports.
    • If you can't verify right away, you can still use desktop and send invoices manually. Only things like online payments or emailing straight from MYOB are on hold till you’re sorted.
    • Manual users usually don’t bother with online payments or bank feeds. Lots of folks prefer it offline. Verification mostly matters if you turn on those online extras, so if you’re keeping it old-school, no dramas.
    • Verification mainly affects online features. You should still be able to do manual statements and invoices the usual way unless MYOB changes the rules.

     

    The verification stuff tries to cover all bases, but it definitely doesn’t fit every setup and can get tricky with all the different business structures out there.
