How do I increase the length of the field for item descriptions?

Hi there Jacmus,
I've replicated your issue with the item description field, and it does allow me to enter 255 characters. If you're referring to the Name field from the Profile tab, the character limit that you're getting is normal. You can refer to the screenshot below.
Instead, you can enter 255 characters in the Description field from the Item Details tab.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. Great call out on the character limit. We’ve added this to our Ideas board so people can vote it up and help prove priority for the product team’s roadmap. In the meantime, you can put the full details in the “Notes to customer” field on the invoice, it supports much longer text so your customer still gets everything they need.
