MYOB account issue

Hi there

 

I am an account right v19 user , I have been told that I need to put the file online in order to continue with the service with MYOB.

 

 

However my email address has been hacked and I was not able to log into my myob account and could not move my file online.

 

my email address with MYOB is [email protected].

 

is there anyway to change my registered email?

    Hi terrycheung07,

     

    Thanks for letting us know, and I’m sorry to hear your email has been hacked. If you no longer have access to the email address linked to your MYOB account, you’ll need to get in touch with our support team so they can help you with the next steps around updating your registered email. Once that’s sorted, you’ll be able to continue with getting your file online.

    Hi terrycheung07​ 

    If you are on v19, you wouldn't have been using payroll or live bank feeds so if you just need confirmations which MYOB said they were stopping at the end of February 2026 (even though this service is still working), then contact FGH Tables for confirmation codes and you can continue to use your version without having to pay for a subscription and deal with Telstra outages.

    Hi Sai 

     

    Thanks for the reply.  yes I have been trying to call the support team this morning.  The recommended waiting time is over an hour and I am calling from oversea.  Is there any other way to solve this? I need to use the software asap as I am not able to access the information offline now.  

  • Hi Liz,

     

    when I start my MYOB library ,  its instructing me to upload an offline file to continue . After I have uploaded the offline file it linked me to MYOB website for login  and I am not able to login my account as my email address has been hacked . I am not able to access any information from the MYOB

You can contact our support team through live chat by visiting MYOB Contact Us and clicking the chat bubble at the bottom of the page.     Hi Terry

    I'm confused because you said v19 which is a Classic (*.MYO) version and doesn't use libraries - have I misunderstood which version you have been using? if you are on v19, and your confirmations aren't working then contact FGH Tables. If it is actually v2019 then that's a different issue, and there could be a problem with the latest version being downloaded on your system when you don't actually need it. Up to v2021.1, there were no auto updates and if you have a Perpetual Licence, you can continue confirming and using this version as long as you uninstall more recent version/s. Accessing the offiline file does not require a Browser login for these versions - just open My Library to find your file.

    Yes I started with accountright V19, now when I clicked inside it said accountright 2026 5.0 .

     

    so am I still allowed to use the software offline? 

     

    whenever I tried to open the file it directly to the myob web site and asking me to log in

    Hi Terry

     

    So you have accepted their "free upgrades" along the way. Given that you had v19, you should have a perpetual licence and as long as you don't need payroll or live bank feeds, you will be able to revert to an earlier version as long as your actual file hasn't been upgraded. To do this, you need to 

     

    Uninstall v2026.5

    Download v 2026.4 from here

    DISCONNECT FROM THE INTERNET

    Install v2026.4 and follow random_nuggets instructions here 

    Preventing AccountRight automatic software updates. | MYOB Community

    You can now reconnect to the internet as auto updates won't work.

    Open your file (or restore from last backup) to continue.
