Question About Accessing MYOB Backup Files After Cancelling Subscription

Hi there,

We currently have multiple MYOB files and are considering stopping our use of MYOB. Our plan is to create backup files for each account and then cancel the associated MYOB subscriptions.

Before we proceed, we’d like to clarify:
If we cancel our MYOB subscriptions but keep the backup files, will we still be able to open and access those files in the future using any MYOB software? Or would we need to maintain active subscriptions for each MYOB account in order to restore and open the backups?

We just want to make sure we’ll still have access to the data if needed later on.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Jade

    Hi Jade79,

It'll be sad to see you go, but if you need to end your MYOB subscription we're here to help. Make sure to back up your files before they end. You'll have 30 days of read-only access to your online files; after that, they might be deleted. If you've saved your backups offline, you can still access them without a subscription. It’s not necessary to keep active subscriptions to access offline backup files, but you will need active software or an active license if the software requires it to open or restore those files. You can check this link for more information.

    Regards,

    Shella
