GL Account number coverts to date format on export to excel

Hi folks, does anyone have a formula solution for when you export to excel and the GL account changes to a date. Thank you

Hi cfomarthakal 

 

This is because excel will convert 4-6000 to April in the year 6000 and show as Apr-00. One method is to export to a csv or a tab delimited file. Run Excel first and then open the csv or tab delimited file. At step 3 of the wizard, go through and change the format of this account column to 'Text' - the default is General which is what causes the issue. You should do the same thing to any column that contains a number that starts with 0, such as phone numbers, itemnumbers postcodes etc.
