Reconciliation Meltdown

I have used MYOB for many years for monthly bank reconciliations using bank feeds and entering the number on the bank statement.  Since the latest update it appears to me I no longer have that option - I have the correct entries for the month matched and MYOB keeps telling me the amount at end of month on my bank statement is wrong. I then rolled back the reconciliation for the previous month and got the same problem when I did that... I am certainly not intending to go back and keep rolling back reconciliations like that, it looks like it could take weeks! 

 

In addition, MYOB keeps insisting I need to match unmatched entries from last year, and even going back to 2021. I have no way of deleting these entries, and I am not sure if they are the cause of this problem.  I have never been stopped from reconciling for this reason before, nor have I been unable to enter the bank balance amount and ensure it matches the new total resulting from the matched entries on screen.

 

Also my bank feeds failed for most of a month so I downloaded them from the bank into MYOB manually as usual. That seemed to work fine.

 

I may have done something myself to cause this but I am not getting much help from my support requests yet. Is there a bigger problem?
