So from this thread and my recent experience in trying to enter data for my new company, it seems that I can create the company, enter the data and once I exit, or possibly even the next day, its read only? And that my accountant wont be happy either? If so, what product should I be upgrading to as I prefer off line usage and I only have the 2 small companies with no payroll.

You should be able to open the newly created company file, but this depends on your subscription. Thanks for your prompt response. Whilst I have a login the system shows that I have no product. Without a product to select, I cannot access live chat or lodge a support ticket because the Code that is displayed is not accepted. It sounds like Version 18 Accounting is out meaning I will need to look elsewhere for an affordable accounting platform. I was hoping to avoid having to get used to new software.
