How to run a new bank rule manually? Existing unallocated transactions not being auto allocated when new rule created.

I have bank feeds going back years. No problems with the bank feeds.

I have created a new rule.

After I save the new rule and return to the unallocated transaction list, I see many transactions that are not allocated that should have been allocated by the rule.

How do I manually or otherwise run the rule against unallocted entries?

    Hi ewan,

    Thanks for your post.

When you created the rule, make sure you chose the rule type as 'Automated rule'. This is a rule that will be automatically applied to transactions matching criteria you enter. Once done, the automated rule you created will be applied to existing and future transactions that match the rule conditions. More information regarding this can be found here.

      this didn't answer the question

How can you allocate a rule to multiple entries. I have imported a qif, the rules made (all with automatic) didn't allocate automatically. the link to the user guide doesn't say how do this is bulk?

        Hi ADG001,

We can rule out the automatic rules as a potential reason with your response. I recommend checking for any overlapping rules, as this might cause both rules to not take effect.

You have the option to search within the Bank Transactions screen to find similar transactions, then select all and categorise from there.

If the issue persists after checking this, I recommend creating a support ticket from the MyAccount window or using MOCA to reach the live chat team for further troubleshooting.

Feel free to post again if you need any other help.

        Thanks,

        Hi ADG001,

Sorry to hear we've missed the mark with our previous answer.
