Hi BooksForBiz,
You're not alone! A lot of folks who’ve moved over from AccountRight or other desktop setups really miss having that manual backup button, especially at EOFY time. Since MYOB Business Pro and Lite are fully cloud-based, there’s no manual backup option like we used to have, but the good news is MYOB takes care of secure automatic backups behind the scenes.
If you’re after a bit more detail or just some peace of mind, this help page breaks it all down nicely: Back up your company file before closing (Just scroll down to the section titled “If you work online”)
I hope this helps!
Regards,

That's great but my understanding is that these backups MYOB does are deleted after 6 months.

Did this ever get an answer?
The linked site specifically says
'When working online, you don’t need to back up your company file regularly, as MYOB automatically backs up your data online weekly and retains it for six months.
However, you might want to back up your online file before starting a task that will result in significant changes, such as closing a financial year or importing data. You would also make a backup if you want to archive a copy of the file at a point in time, such as month-end.'
But does not then tell you how to do it??

Hi BooksForBiz and jolimont
Sorry for the confusion here
The previously linked help article is specifically for AccountRight which has the option to be both online or offline.
Whereas MYOB Business Lite and Pro are online only software.
There is no option to 'back up' Lite or Pro in the same way that you used to for desktop software.
