Invoice Activity Showing Future Reminders Despite Reminders Being Disabled

Hi,

 

I’ve noticed a recent change in the Invoice Activity view, which overall is a positive update — the additional detail and revised format aren’t an issue.

 

However, there is one concern I need clarity on before this becomes a problem.

 

The activity log is now showing future invoice reminders scheduled to be sent, even though:

 

Invoice reminders are disabled on my account

They have never been enabled

I’ve removed all optional reminders, leaving only the mandatory default reminder

Most of our invoices are prepaid, with the balance due immediately

 

Despite this, every invoice is still showing a future reminder as an upcoming activity.

 

My concern is not the display itself, but whether this indicates that reminders may actually be sent automatically, despite reminders being disabled in settings. I want to ensure that no reminder emails will be sent to customers unexpectedly.

 

Could you please confirm:

 

Whether these “future reminder” entries are purely informational and will not trigger emails, and

If there is a way to completely disable reminders, including the default reminder, so that no future reminder activity appears at all

 

At the moment, the settings indicate reminders are turned off, but the activity log suggests otherwise, which is confusing and potentially risky from a customer-communication perspective.

 

I’d appreciate clarification and guidance on how to fully suppress reminders so there’s no chance of them being sent.

    I'm happy you found the update positive overall.

    Good spot, and thanks for calling it out. I get why seeing those reminder bits hanging around would make you worry.

    To clear it up:

    • The grey “Send reminder” line you see in the Activity panel is just for info. Because “Send invoice reminders” is switched off in your Sales settings, the system won’t actually send any reminder emails, even if a future date is shown there.
    • At the moment, there isn’t a setting to hide or remove those future reminder entries from the Activity view. You can stop reminders from ever sending (which you’ve already done with the global toggle off, and you can also switch them off per customer if you like), but the Activity line itself can’t be turned off yet.

    So, in short,  nothing will go out to your customers as long as reminders are off, even though you can still see that “Send reminder” entry in the activity history.
