That error pops up when the pay run dates sit outside what MYOB sees as the current/previous financial years, or the pay is trying to span two financial years.
For this one, try:
- Re-creating the pay run and
- Changing the Date of payment so it sits inside the current payroll year (for NZ March year-end, on or before 31/03/26),
Then record the pay again.
If they’d rather treat it as the first pay of the new year instead, they’ll need to run it fully in the new year (dates and payment all in the new FY) and adjust the hours/amounts to match what was actually paid. If the error still persists after doing those steps, the best way forward is to connect with our support team.
