Long delay in verification phase after setting up Pay Super and seeing the 1 cent deposit

I am new to MYOB Business though I have used MYOB Payroll and a laptop version for many years.

I have paid wages and super outside MYOB about a fortnight ago. I wanted to lodge my stp report to the ATO on the same day but am prevented from doing so because the software shows the super is unpaid

This is very annoying as the lack of functionality to permit easy outside payments  (for pre 30 June 2026 regulations) prevents me from completing the stp report in a timely fashion.

Until verification of the pay super process happens there is no menu option avaiable so I am just stuck for ages. The 1 cent deposit was seen at my bank I think half a day after i lodged the pay super application form. since then MYOB have sent lots of marketing urging me needlessly to sign up before its too late but the software weakness is frustrating the easy lodgement of my stp report for my wages and super payments outside the software.

people have advised workarounds but they all depend on the full menu showing to the user AFTER the verification process is completed

Can anyone advise how to resolve the inordinate delay in my ability to use MYOB to fulfl my ATO reporting obligation after I have ful;filled my employer obligation regarding wages and super.

    Hi Brendan_Kew

If you’re stuck on that old 1 cent verification step, the best thing to do now is not keep waiting for it.

From recent support guidance, it looks like MYOB has updated the Pay Super sign-up process, so eligible businesses may no longer need the 1 cent bank verification to get started.

If your sign-up started under the older process, it can sometimes get stuck there and not properly finish. When that happens, the usual fix is to get the old registration cleared, then sign up again.

So the simplest way forward is:

    • ask support to reset or clear the existing Pay Super registration
    • once that’s done, go back into MYOB Business and try signing up again via Payroll > Super payments > Sign up to Pay Super
    • recent guidance suggests the newer sign-up is fully digital, with no 1 cent deposit and no waiting period before you can start using Pay Super.

So, in short: get the stuck registration cleared, then re-register. That’s the most likely way to get things moving again.
