Paying Super to Cbus

Hi,

I am trying to create a super payment for the first time to an employee. He is with Cbus and has uploaded the super choice form. The ABN and USI and member number are correct.

The error message says "this fund can no longer recieve contributions using Pay Superannuation. PLease edit the fund from the Superannuation fund list window and select a valid fund name for it."

I have rang Cbus and they have confirmed theat they do accept payments from Myob.

I found this old solution here but I can not work out how to add the super fund correctly to the list. I have added it, and called it "CBUS 1" to differentriate from the original. However, I am unable to add the USI and ABN as those fields are greyed out.

    Hi there ali23 and hayley86

Thanks for providing the details of the super fund. I have checked their ABN on the ATO super fund look up tool and saw nothing wrong. This error typically occurs when the super fund/SMSF created is corrupted. To fix it, simply go to Lists > Superannuation, rename the existing fund, then create a new fund with the same details. Assign the new fund to the employee card and process pay super. Let me know if you need further assistance with this.

    Best regards,

    Doreen

Here is a screen shot of when I try to add a new name for the Super fund with the issue, details are greyed out and I do not have the access to recreate. Please advise how I get around this?

    Hi hayley86,

Thank you for the post. On the main page, please click the gear icon. And click Payroll Settings. Once you're on that option, go to Superannuation funds and then create super fund.

    Regards,

    Sai

    Hi Sai,

I have done exactly as you have advised and sections are greyed out like we have previously stated and nothing can be added. I have attached a screen shot so you can see exactly what we are trying to explain. Is there someone else that can help fix this issue, can it be escalated as I need to pay my Super before I am fined.

    Regards

    Hayley

    Hi there hayley86

For the fund name, make sure to select it from the drop down and not to manually enter the fund name. Once done, the other field will filled out automatically. Let me know how it goes.

    Best regards,

    Doreen

I resolved this issue by using the ATO super portal.  I had no issues with any payments to CBUS.

    Hi Doreen_P

Unfortunately all the instructions given here were not able to be done, I am unsure if it's that you have different access to regular MYOB users that you think we are able to edit things but unfortunately we could not. I end up finding another solution myself after hours and days of back and forth and researching it myself. I hope for future there could be a better support system for users, if you could please pass this information onto your management that would be much appreciated.

    Regards

    Hayley
