Totally get where you’re at, you just need to wrap things up in MYOB so you can cleanly switch to Xero.
Here’s the simple way to do it:
- Pick your last pay in MYOB (your cut‑over pay), process it as normal, and send the STP report.
- In your software, go to Payroll → Single Touch Payroll reporting → EOFY finalisation, choose the right payroll year, tick your two employees, mark them as final, and send that to the ATO.
- Wait until that STP finalisation shows as Accepted.
- After that, stop using MYOB for payroll. From the next pay date, do all pays (and STP) in Xero only.
It’s completely fine if myGov/ATO shows one final income statement from MYOB and another from Xero for the same year, as long as the totals are correct, the ATO is happy.
