Update to STP phase 2 - no employees for a number of years.

I have a MYOB business lite subcription and have not employed staff for quite a few years. I have updated all ATO reporting categories in the payroll items but am still having no luck in upgrading to STP phase 2. Can anyone assist?

    Hi KimC2,

     

    You’ve done a fair bit of legwork with your payroll settings, so here’s what’s what: STP Phase 1 is now officially retired and MYOB’s all about Phase 2 for payroll reporting these days. Since you haven’t had employees for years and can’t shift things across, you'll need to discuss your options with a payroll advisor or reach out to ATO to check what needs sorting. They will help you stay on the right track.

    Thanks Sheila, but that really doesn’t help any more than my google search. I might try Xero support?

    Hi KimC2,

     

    You’ve clearly spent a lot of time trying to figure this out. If you’ve checked your reporting phase and it’s still on Phase 1, sadly your best move now is to reach out to your payroll advisor for help. The closure of STP Phase 1 was posted on this link.

    I have received an STP reporting deferral from the ATO. How do I reactivate STP reporting (phase 2) in MYOB? The ATO cannot give advice regarding MYOB software and if MYOB cannot give advice regarding MYOB software, then my only alternative may be to find other software.
