Variation of PAYGW on Allowance

Question

We have received a notice from the ATO permitting us to vary the car allowance for a particular employee to an amount equivalent to 9%.
&nbsp;
However, we are unable to adjust the tax settings for this allowance directly, as the Taxes tab under the Payroll Category list does not allow us to add or modify pay items.
&nbsp;
Could you please advise on how we can vary the tax treatment of this specific allowance in MYOB?

You're right that you won't be able to edit the PAYG under Taxes tab. It'd be best to reach out to your accountant and have them tell you how they want the variation applied, then you can mirror their advice so the withholding lines up with the 9% ruling.
