This is super frustrating, you basically need to write down your sequency on a piece of paper then refer to it as you change either the invoice or quote number and pre-fix. Surely this is an easy fix? It doesn't make any sense at all?
MYOB's solution was to jump to a higher number, this doesn't solve the problem, it still uses that sequence :(
I have to do the same thing. I use a piece of paper with my last quote number and invoice number to manually entre it in. The sequencing is **bleep**. They need to go back to how it used to be before the upgrade.
It's a joke! So frustrating that it hasn't been fixed. Sequencing needs to be fixed so confusing when you raise a quotation, and the reference is an invoice number! To make matters worse when I convert a quote to an invoice it doesn't even use the original quote number! Super confusing for everyone, looks so unprofessional too.
It's been 11 months since I raised this issue and still, we wait :(
Thanks for your comment on this important issue around sequencing for invoices, sales orders, and quotes. The good news is...we hear you! We are planning to roll out an update that will give our customers the ability to create separate numbering systems across their quotes, sales orders, and invoices. Once this is enabled, you will have full control over customising the prefix and the numbering sequence for each to best suit your business. The current plan is to have this rolled out in browser before the end of the year, but as always, timing can be subject to change.
