Thanks for posting your concern in the forum.
I understand how important it is that all transactions have a unique transaction number. Unfortunately, the application transaction numbers will continue after the last edited or created invoice number. This means if you recently changed the invoice of one of your transactions, the sequence of the invoice numbers will continue after the new invoice number. Rest assured we will raise this as a suggestion to the development team.
