Set up Serial Numbers for Inventory Products

Hi Team,I am running accountright plus on desktop and want to set up the inventory system so we can track serial numbers of products that are purchased/sold. Good ol' chat gpt seems to think there's a way. It's points me to the inventory screen and says I should see dropdown field to enable serial number tracking... which isn't there.&nbsp;&nbsp;Does anyone know&nbsp;if we can track serial numbers of products in the inventory system? If it's possible, can you show me the path to setting this up?&nbsp;&nbsp;Many thanks!&nbsp;Steve

Yeah, having proper serial number tracking would be super handy. ChatGPT’s led you astray on this one. AccountRight doesn’t have a built‑in way to track serial numbers against inventory items.
There are a couple of workarounds (like using Jobs and treating each serial number as its own job), but that gets messy pretty quickly once you’ve got multiple items on an order.
The cleaner option is to hook AccountRight into a third‑party inventory/WMS add‑on that does proper serial tracking, like Datapel Cloud.WMS. The trade‑off is it’s an extra subscription on top of MYOB, so there’s an added cost to weigh up against how critical serial tracking is for you. I recommend exploring the 3rd party app route if serial number tracking is important to you.&nbsp;
