That's exactly what it means. We are on early access and I was just about to email an invoice. The attached document is marked to email automatically unless "X" is clicked.
In this case it is only a drawing but I recon this is asking for trouble when the breakup of a quote is accidentally emailed with the invoice to the customer. I noticed it but other staff probably won't.
I have just put in a feature request if you want to put a vote on it.

That post was previously made in our EAP space for sales attachments which has since closed. I've moved the post into the Ideas Exchange so you can go and vote on it now. If you have any further suggestions, feel free to post in the Ideas Exchange for other members to go and vote on.

Totally get why you'd want that option. Those attachments can sneak in pretty easily. You can vote for that feature request through our Ideas Board here: Remove invoice links from emailed invoices | MYOB Community.
Just open the link, hit the vote button, and you're all set. The more votes it gets, the more visibility it has with the team.
